Election of Officers at Annual Conference

The Virginia PTA holds the election of officers during Annual Conference, July 11-13, 2013.  In addition to the slated officers, an individual may be considered a nominee from the floor provided they meet the guidelines prescribed in the Virginia PTA Bylaws.

Article VIII.  Section 2d. "Nominees from the floor must provide written intent to the state president at least thirty (30) days prior to the first day of the annual meeting."

Article X. Section 3c. "A person may be nominated for president-elect, vice-president, secretary, or treasurer only if he/she has served on the Board of Managers for at least one (1) term."

2013-2015 Slate of Officers

The Nominations and Leadership Development Committee (NLDC) met on March 23-24, 2013 to consider individuals for President-Elect, 1st Vice President of Training, 2nd Vice President of Membership, Secretary, and Treasurer for the upcoming 2013-2015 term.

The committee reports the following nominees for election at the 2013 annual conference: President-Elect:  Jane Brooks; 1st Vice President of Training:  Felicia Bailey; 2nd Vice President of Membership: Debbie Kilpatrick; Secretary:  Scott Rhyne; Treasurer: Karen Fellows.
