What is the Leadership Training Conference & why should I attend?

Leadership Training Conference is an annual training event sponsored by the Virginia PTA/PTSA. This year the Workshops and events will be conducted over a 1½ day period in the Richmond area.   The 2008 conference will be on July 11-12 and will be held at Deep Run High School, Glen Allen (in the Richmond District). Participants needing accommodations can stay in hotel rooms in the “Innsbrook” area of Glen Allen.

• This “new and improved” Leadership Training Conference is the most important training offered by the Virginia PTA and is a must for all PTA officers and committee chairs to attend.  
• A wide variety of workshops will be offered for both new and veteran PTA leaders.

Teachers and administrators are encouraged to attend as well. Workshops are conducted by the Board of Managers of the VAPTA, other PTA volunteers and representatives of participating organizations and agencies.
We are presently working on reducing the cost of attendance.  Hotel arrangements will be handled separately by each participant, if needed.
