Secondary PTA Committee
Linda-Lee Batdorf, Secondary Chairperson

The Secondary PTA Committee coordinates projects and programs designed to meet the special needs of middle school and high school local units and their parent, teacher and student members.

PTSA provides membership and leadership opportunities for students in grades 9 through 12.

PTA/PTSA promotes a smooth transition for the move from elementary to middle school; middle school to high school; and high school to post-secondary education or employment

PTA/PTSA sponsors student- involvement programs such as Reflections, Citizenship Essay Project, Scholarship Program and Student Leadership Awards.

PTA/PTSA encourages and supports development of programs and grants that focus on adolescent health, juvenile protection, parenting and transition issues that affect secondary teachers, students and their families

PTA (at the direction of the president) serves as liaison to such statewide organizations as the After-Prom and After-Grad Party, Virginia Middle School Association, Virginia High School League and the Student Cooperative Association (SCA).
