An Unwavering Voice for Children’s Health

Ever since its inception, the National PTA has provided an unwavering voice for the health and safety of our country’s children. From the 1899 convention resolution calling for “the establishment of a National Health Bureau,” to the 1925 Summer Round Up programs and the field testing of the Salk polio vaccine in the 1950s, PTA leaders have strived to seek relevant solutions for the challenging health issues of their day.
