Virginia PTA Capitol Day = Taking Action for Kids!
Join us for a morning in Richmond to advocate for the education, health, and well-being of students!
We know showing up in school colors at a School Board meeting is impactful. The same applies for showing up in Virginia PTA (royal) blue on Capitol Day to share stories about our students and schools while legislators are considering their votes on funding and legislation.
Virginia PTA is setting up meetings with legislators, preparing talking points and identifying bills that align with our approved resolutions and priorities. All you need to do is show-up and join your district for an enjoyable day at the Capitol to #TakeAction4Kids. Just like advocacy at a School Board meeting, your school-aged students are welcome to join you.
Free! Includes two workshops on Sunday afternoon and a grab and go breakfast bag.
Advocacy is at the core of our association and supported by your membership dues.

Please wear business professional clothes and shoes that are comfortable for walking. Although it looks like a short distance on the map, you will do a lot of walking.
