Submitting Membership Lists and Dues
DUE: November 1, December 1, March 1 and June 1 (per Bylaws)
Submitting your dues on-time helps your PTA stay in Good Standing with Virginia PTA and enables your families to participate in Reflections and allows your PTA to qualify for grants and awards.
All PTAs in Virginia have FREE access to a basic MemberHub Account. All Units should submit their membership lists via their MemberHub. In addition to helping you sell and submit membership information, MemberHub provides your PTA with an on-line school directory, school store, sign-up, school calendar, fundraising platform, website hosting and more. SUBMITTING YOUR MEMBERSHIP LIST
If your PTA sells memberships through your PTA's on-line store in MemberHub:
- Submitting your membership list is automatic!
- You just need to submit your dues payment on-time.
If your PTA did NOT utilize your PTA's on-line store in MemberHub to sell memberships you can:
- Manually enter membership sales for any paper checks you've received
- Import a csv file with your membership list DIRECTLY into MemberHub.
PTAs are encouraged to pay membership dues electronically DIRECTLY through MemberHub. The transaction uses Stripe and requires you to enter your Bank's ACH information for your first transation. For details on how to utilize this feature, review the MemberHub Help Center on this topic
If your PTA has not used MemberHub in the past, you can request access here. You can also submit your dues payment by mailing a document dues remittance form (113 KB) and a physical check to Virginia PTA at 1027 Wilmer Ave, Richmond VA 23227.
REQUEST FOR REFUND OF LOCAL UNIT DUES OVERPAYMENT
Requests for return of overpayment of membership dues will be honored if made in writing wihtin 60 days of payment prior to the close of the membership year. Thereafter, refunds may be granted at the discretion of the state president and vice president of membership, and may be limited to the state portion of the overpayment. Determination will be made on a case by case basis. Please complete the attached pdf form (236 KB) and submit to firstname.lastname@example.org to start the process.
Membership awards can be earned for many different reasons. The awards are a great way to show parents in your school how active and successful your PTA is! Some awards are automatically earned and others need to be applied for. Remember - in order to qualify for any membership awards, a PTA unit must be in Good Standing.
