Child Advocate of the Year Awards

Child Advocate of the Year

Outstanding, inspiring work is happening in school communities across the Commonwealth all of the time. We want to recognize the dedication, leadership and advocacy work that has positively affected your community, your local school board policies, or state legislation and regulatory policy.

If you know of an outstanding youth or individual PTA advocate, elected official, or a local unit, council or district PTA that has done great advocacy work to support the academic success, health and welfare of students, please nominate them to receive an award for their efforts from Virginia PTA at the Annual Meeting. You can also nominate yourself!

Although not necessary, special consideration will be given to nominees whose efforts have included an education or learning component for PTA members or the community-at-large or advocates who have worked with multiple organizations or coalitions to elevate their advocacy work.

NOMINATIONS DUE: Annually on March 25th
