Virginia Lottery is good fun for a great cause. Every time you scratch a ticket or pick your numbers for the big jackpot, you are creating winners in education all over Virginia. Last year, the Lottery contributed more than $765 million to Virginia’s public schools. By law, all unclaimed Virginia Lottery prizes go to the Literary Fund, which provides low-interest loans to localities for public-school construction, renovations and technology upgrades. Since 1988, the Lottery has transferred more than $320 million in unclaimed prizes to the Literary Fund. Virginia Lottery also hosts Thank A Teacher each year which provides teachers with vacation prize opportunties. As the leader in supporting local school parent groups, and the largest and oldest child advocacy association in the Commonwealth, the Virginia PTA provides hands-on support, leadership training, family engagement programs, student recognition and advocacy opportunities for 950 school-based PTAs serving 175,000 members across the Commonwealth.
Our sponsors are committeed to supporting family engagement in our schools and the work of the more than 6,000 volunteers that lead PTAs across the Commonwealth.
We work with each of our Business Partners to ensure we understand your goals and match you with a partnership package that enables you to not only directly build relationships with volunteers in the communities where you do business but also directly impact the shared goal of building the strong home to school partnerships that make every child’s potential a reality. Sponsorship packages range from $250 to $20,000+.
In addition to helping you connect directly with volunteers through our classic sponsorship packages we also partner with business to offer grant programs to school based PTAs. These custom designed grant programs directly provide funds to schools to help the community undertake new projects and/or family engagement programs that showcase your business as a supporter of family partnerships and student academic success.
